Expertise & Dedication

I’m often asked in the clinic why I chose Podiatry? Why do you want to work on feet for a career?

I was a very curious kid growing up, I was drawn to the medical field even though I was told I would never make it into college because of my ACT score. At a young age, I would go running and ride my bike only to try to trigger my asthma. I wanted to see if the food I ate had any difference in my asthma, along with trying to find ways to exercise longer without an asthma attack.

When I was in the 8th grade, I broke my ankle playing my favorite sport “Basketball”. The primary doctor told me I had a bone chip in my ankle, and I asked him “Well can’t you take it out?”. They placed me in a leg cast and put me on crutches for 6 weeks, missing the rest of the season. Not realizing this one experience would set the course for my career in Podiatry.

Going against all the odds and making it into college, and the sheer determination and great letters of recommendation, I was offered a spot into podiatric medical school. Completed my two-year surgical residency program. I worked for one year as an employee for a group practice but decided to go into private practice.

Over 25 years later I traveled to Tonga on a medical mission, and treated thousands of patients in my private clinic. Studied and developed skills to help people naturally outside the normal Western Medicine. I have kept the attitude of always being the student “always learning.”

Yes, I did find my cure for asthma, while also becoming a board-certified Physician and Surgeon of the Foot and Ankle. Now how cool is that?

I am in the process of writing my 4th  book, the first one never went to the publisher but is owned by one person, and the other two you can find on Amazon. This new book will be my personal journey in life to show everyone who was told they could not do this, or could not do that, and what the world is like when you listen to the one person that matters the most “You”.

What Good Is Your Wealth If You Don't Have Your Health?

Healthy Dad, Sick Dad

Far too many people retire, needing to take five to twenty medications daily for health conditions that could easily have been prevented. They retire to their recliner and don't take full advantage of retirement opportunities because they’re dependent on an oxygen tank or just too stiff and sore to get out and enjoy life.

It doesn’t have to be that way—in nature, when things are in balance, there is no disease!
